Netball Super League NXT Gen League: London Mavericks NXT Gen Crowned Champions

London Mavericks NXT Gen capped off their development campaign by securing the NXT Gen league title, finishing top of the standings with an impressive 13 wins from 15 matches. Their dominant season saw Mavericks end on 39 points, ahead of close challengers Loughborough Lightning (33 points) and Birmingham Panthers (32 points).

NXT Gen Campaign:

Mavericks set the tone early in the season with a statement 69-58 victory over Manchester Thunder in Round One, showcasing the attacking flair and defensive intensity that would become hallmarks of their campaign. 

Throughout the year, the side consistently found ways to grind out important results, with only defeats to Loughborough Lightning (44-73) and Birmingham Panthers (59-52) disrupting an otherwise dominant run.

A major strength of the squad was the balance between experienced pathway players and rising young talent. Many players had the opportunity to get their NSL call-ups including: Neve Wright, Hannah Passmore, Sascha Dale, Ellie Sadler, Timi Adewale, Cerys Cairns and Hannah Knightbridge, who all played important roles throughout the season, whilst highlighting the strength of the Mavericks development system. 

The title-winning season underlined the growing strength of the London Mavericks pathway, with the club continuing to provide opportunities for young athletes to transition into elite netball environments. 

From strong performances in attack to relentless defensive pressure, Mavericks proved themselves to be the most complete team in the league.
